Debut! NKOSI: White Gold

Check out this exciting debut from NKOSI, an American two piece now residing in Los Angeles. White Gold demonstrates razor-sharp vocal delivery from Echoboyy over Dave Sherman’s sampled-guitar technique. In fact, every instrument you can hear comes from Sherman alone. A wizard on guitar, bass, synths and drum programming; his musical abilities speak volumes. Echoboyy’s vocals seal the deal and are unimpeachably impressive. Creating new wave electronic dance music with an emphasis on intricate, melodic vocals; NKOSI have found their niche.

Skepta Wins Aim Independent Music Award

We were so thrilled to find out that Skepta had been honoured with the Outstanding Contribution To Music Award at the AIM Independent Music Awards.

Sponsored by Merlin, the award recognises the independent sector’s most important and influential artists, with Skepta praised for his tireless involvement with grime over the past decade, culminating in what has been a breakthrough year for the Tottenham MC.
AIM Awards judge and BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra presenter MistaJam said: “Since grime was born out of the ashes of UK garage, Skepta has been a pioneer of the sound, of the DIY business model and the culture. DJ, producer, writer, MC, record label boss and performer – there’s no denying Skepta has put in the blood, sweat and tears for the last 10 whole years and now, as he stands on the cusp of true international acclaim, it feels right to award Skepta for his immense contribution so far to British music.”
