Apple has teamed up with rap superstars Drake and Pharrell to launch a music streaming service designed to compete with Spotify at its annual developers conference in San Francisco.

Apple’s new service is expected to sit alongside its existing iTunes music download store, charging users £10 in the UK or $10 in the US for a monthly subscription for unlimited access to its vast catalogue of music.

Sure, Spotify will take a big hit from this (the CEO responded with a tweet simply saying “Oh OK.”) but Tidal may as well cut its losses and call it a day.
